Your student will lick the bowl after making our classic Shephard's Pie and of course we will have to make some green snacks throughout the day. Plus, dress up in St. Patrick's Day colors and we will have a mini party while our Shephard's Pie and green snacks are cooking.

How to Prepare Inexperienced Young Chefs for Success
While you are waiting for summer, you can help your young chef prepare for camp by working on their measuring skills. Let them pour, scoop, and measure all types of ingredients. Talk to them about the labels on the measuring cups and spoons and how it matches the ingredients list on your recipe - or even on the side of a box. This is a No Judgement Zone! The more you allow them to work in the kitchen with you, the more independent they become.
What To Bring to Camp:
- Bring a cold lunch and a water bottle
- Long hair should be tied back away from their faces.
- Closed-toe, comfortable shoes. They stand a LOT while they are cooking!
